Quick Start Tutorial

The following walkthrough introduces the core concepts of the CMS by creating a simple tenant, publishing a plan, and generating usage data.

Step 1: Add a Tenant

  • Log in as an Administrator.

  • Navigate to Administration → Tenants.

  • Select Add Tenant and provide a name and contact email.

Step 2: Create a Subscription

  • UnderCreate a new subscription and associate it with the tenant, create a subscription linked to the published plan.tenant.

  • Assign one or more users as subscription owners.

Step 3: Record Usage

  • Deploy a resource (e.g., a VM or storage account) within the subscription.

  • Usage is automatically captured through the CMS usage collection pipeline.

Step 4: Generate a Billing Record

  • Navigate to Billing → Summary.

  • Select the active subscription and generate a usage summary.

  • Review calculated charges and confirm that billing data is available.
