CMS v2 Usage Manual

CMS v2 Usage Manual

Overview

CMS v2 is the CloudAxis management portal for relationships, subscriptions, platform regions, catalogue data, pricing, usage, billing, invoicing, alerts, jobs, settings, and updates.

This manual is written for people who use, administer, operate, or support CMS. It explains what users can do in the portal, where to find each area, and what to check when something is missing.

Core Operating Model

CMS is organised around a small set of business records.

Area What users use it for
Distributors Group partners and tenants under a distributor organisation.
Partners Manage partner organisations and their customer tenants.
Tenants Manage customer organisations, users, documents, subscriptions, and billing visibility.
Regions Define the platforms and locations where subscriptions can be created or billed.

Catalogue Review the platform items that can be priced, such as meters, SKUs, offers, templates, and images.

Access

Access depends on the user's assigned role and organisation access. Users only see records that match their tenant, partner, distributor, region, subscription, or platform scope.

If a page, record, button, or action is not visible, check:

  1. The user's assigned role.
  2. The user's organisation relationship.
  3. Whether the feature is enabled in settings.
  4. Whether prerequisite records exist, such as regions, partners, tenants, or subscriptions.

Common Empty States

CMS often shows a short message instead of an empty grid when setup is incomplete.

Message context What to check
No regions Create or enable a region before subscription, pricing, quota, or usage workflows.
No distributors Create a distributor before creating partners.
No partners Create a partner before creating tenants.
No subscriptions Create subscriptions before invoice, billing-status, or commission views have useful data.
